Over 17 years of experience within various companies in the plastics industry, enabled me to gain thorough knowledge of extrusion and injection molding techniques. As an experienced production manager I master the competences necessary to provide our customers with adequate manufacturing support necessary to manufacture high quality products. In daily practice, I am responsible for the total production process, managing the production area, motivating the production staff and supervising the planning. Identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements, both qualitatively as well as quantitatively, are part of my responsibility as well. We work conform the Lean Six Sigma methodology*.
Process knowledge and skills:
- Quality monitoring
- Launching new products
- Cost reduction
- Lean manufacturing methodology
- Validation technology

More than 27 years of experience in all facets of the plastics industry from monomer to polymer, within all conceivable plastic processing techniques, such as reactive compounding, chemical cracking processes, vacuum forming, sheet extrusion, spinning or PP, injection moulding, blow moulding and tube extrusion. During this period I worked for the following companies (among others):
- KSLA-PMC: Royal Shell Laboratory Amsterdam Polymers Center.
- ESA: European Space Agency
- AKZO NOBEL
- DuPont
- Technical University of Delft
- Technical University of Eindhoven
The past seven years I worked as an independent consultant for Cordis (a Johnson & Johnson Company). In this period I contributed to advanced research and development projects, development of new products, process excellence, manufacturing engineering and operations. Main activities were re-optimization and validation of a number of diagnostic catheters and the management of various transfer projects, transferring manufacturing from Cordis Roden to Cordis Miami and to Juarez, Mexico.

* Lean manufacturing
Management philosophy focusing on eliminating aspects that do not add value. In this way the production quality standards rise, leading to a reduction of operating costs. Focus on optimizing those aspects witch the customer will find valuable. For example price, quality, delivery, maintenance, sustainability and environment.
* Six Sigma
Quality management approach wherein the objective is to improve the operational performance of an organization by identifying and optimizing the processes of the organization. Philosophy is that controlling and improving production processes is only possible if they are understood. What the customer wants is essential and the client determines whether a product or service meets the requirements.
