Injection molding

Injection molding is a production technique where a liquid plastic is injected into a mold under high pressure. After molding the product post treatments such as drilling or deburring are seldom needed. J & J Plastics masters the basic techniques and a number of specialties, such as insertmoulding.

The illustration below, schematically shows how the process works.

  1. The mould parts close.
  2. The cavities in the mould are injected with liquid plastic.
  3. The melt solidifies to its solid shape.
  4. The mould is opened and the product is ejected.

Insert moulding

Steel, brass, or alluminium inserts are automatically or manually placed in a mould and incapsulated with plastic. In this way the material properties of the insert are combined with the material properties of the plastic.

Insert moulding

J & J Plastics masters the insert moulding technique of fixing a connector to an extrudate like no other. Insert moulding is often used for the production of catheters.
